Movement Mondays with Dr. Lyerly 9/23

Sep 23, 2024

Hi friends!

Welcome back to another Movement Monday, our weekly update email sharing the important work Kristin is doing for the people of northeast Wisconsin.

As a 6th generation Wisconsinite who was born and raised in the district, Kristin understands that there’s more that unites us than divides us. She’s a mom of four sons who is committed to building a brighter tomorrow for future generations, creating an economy that works for everyone, and ensuring that we all have the freedom to make our own personal healthcare decisions.

Here’s the “good trouble” that Dr. Lyerly and her campaign were up to to last week:

Rural Outagamie Democrats

There are supporters of Dr. Lyerly in every corner of this district, especially in our rural communities! On Tuesday, Dr. Lyerly and field director Jack joined the Rural Outagamie Dems to discuss issues facing rural communities, from water quality to healthcare to infrastructure.

New Pride Alive

Team Lyerly had an opportunity to connect with the local LGBTQ+ community at New Pride Alive, an annual event in Green Bay! In Congress, Dr. Lyerly will continue to work to protect LGBTQ+ rights so every Wisconsinite and American has the freedom to be their true selves.

Oconto County Democrats Meeting

There’s a lot of enthusiasm in Oconto County right now, and we’re feeling it! The Oconto County Dems are delivering signs, writing postcards, and canvassing the County, leaving no stone unturned. The Lyerly campaign joined this week’s meeting to share our path to victory!

UWGB College Democrats Meeting

It’s critical to engage college students, and there’s a lot of excitement on the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay campus right now! Team Lyerly joined the UWGB College Democrats to listen to the students and discuss volunteer opportunities. UWGB is fired up and ready to go!

CivicMedia update!

Now tune in EVERY Thursday at 3:30pm for “The Maggie Daun Show” In addition to her regular Monday very early morning gig on Pat Kreitlow’s UpNorthNews (6:30am!), Dr. Lyerly joined Maggie Daun this week to kick off new weekly appearances and discuss how personal wealth factors into individual candidacy for federal office as well as the upcoming debate in the 8th Congressional District. And, for even more fun, Dr. Lyerly joined Jane and Greg during Matenaer On Air to push back on J.D. Vance’s claims that “illegal” immigrants are bankrupting our rural hospitals. All of these episodes and more are available at www.civicmedia.us.

What’s on Tap?

Lots! A NOW (National Organization for Women) event in Appleton, Harvest Fest in Oconto, The Great Wisconsin 8 Debate, and a very exciting Packers vs Vikings game loaded with friends, food, and surprises – we look forward to seeing you around the district!
